Frequently Asked Questions
“Are you available for a performance?”
If you know the date, time and location of the event, this will be very helpful to secure a booking.
“How long is the dance performance?”
That will depend on your program for the event. Sometimes this can 20-30 minutes and we can discuss what works best for your event.
“Is your show at a private function the same as in the restaurant”
It is quite different as there is usually more space at a reception venue. The dance floor allows for more of a show to be presented. So its not just about getting people up to dance and clap along, as it may appear to be in a restaurant. There will also be more prop work included in the show.
“Will you get the couple or the birthday person up to dance?”
YES! Obviously only if they want to. There is always the chance to pass when the moment presents. Usually the person or people celebrating their occasion jump up willingly or with some hesitation. Everyone will cheer them on anyway, so let’s all encourage them.
“Can you wear a costume that covers you up?”
This is always an option and you can always ask. Traditionally these dances were done in long dresses and a hip scarf. These days we have very beautifully decorated dresses with crystals, sequins and beads that are very modest and covered up.
” How do you bring your music?”
My music is always on an iPod and/or phone. I always carry a JAX and AUX cable for connectivity. Bluetooth via the phone is also an option. If there is another way more appropriate to play the music during the performant this can be discussed prior to the event.
